From 23-26 August, the 12th International Biotechnology Leadership camp took place in the Novartis Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
BioCamp is a pioneering four-day seminar that has been organized and sponsored by Novartis since 2004. The event brings the biotechnology sector closer to talented students from top universities around the world.
The programme offered participants an opportunity to:
Interact with key Novartis scientists who lead our unique approach to drug discovery
Learn about breakthrough new medicines to address patients’ unmet medical needs
Understand trends and challenges in the biotechnology sector
Receive first-hand experience about starting and running a biotech company
Explore career opportunities in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
Network with talented students from other countries
A total of 60 students were selected by Novartis from around the world based on their academic record, professional experience and extra-curricular activities.
Christian Collins and Charlotte Winter were selected from over 150 applicants from leading universities across the UK.
