Patient group partnership
Novartis has been recognised as having excellent patient group relationships in the UK, and is ranked as one of the best for high-quality products and patient engagement in research.
At Novartis, we’re united by a shared purpose of putting patients at the heart of everything we do. We value the work of patient groups and the important role they play in supporting the needs of people fighting serious illnesses.
Each year UK-based research group PatientView release a UK-specific edition of their Corporate Reputation of Pharma Survey, a report that details patient groups’ perspective of Pharmaceutical companies and the industry as a whole. Analysis shows that Novartis has, year on year, steadily increased its overall ranking for corporate reputation among UK patient organisations.
In the 2018 survey, based on the responses of 111 UK patient groups, Novartis was ranked the most worked with company and the 2nd most familiar company. Our most-significant rankings were for high-quality products, patient engagement in research, for being transparent on clinical data and providing the best patient information.
We are proud of these results as Novartis is committed to discovering new ways to improve people’s lives and working collaboratively with patient organisations on specific initiatives in order to make a difference to those in need. Collaborating with patient groups helps us to better understand the needs of people living with certain diseases, where unmet need remains and how we can help deliver improved care for patients. Learnings from our collaborations with patient groups also help to inform some of our joint working projects with the NHS. Read more about Joint Working Projects here.
We ensure that our interactions with patient groups are ethical and we strive to build relationships based on transparency, mutual respect and shared goals. Read more about our commitment to patients here.
