Project name: NHS Gloucestershire (NHSG) and Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK have entered into a joint working agreement to develop a single data analysis tool for use by NHSG.
Joint working project summary:
The aim of the project is to collate disparate PCT health data into a single tool. This information would then be used to provide insight into the variations in resource use and service across the PCT and could:
Drive intervention to reduce hospitals admissions
Highlight the variation in care across the PCT
Show inequalities in access to services
Show where and when to commission services
Aid identification of good practice that could be adopted more widely
Novartis will provide project management and analyst resource. This resource will:
Format the data set into a single ‘dashboard’ report
Provide appropriate training to NHS Gloucestershire (NHSG) where needed
NHS Gloucester will provide project management and analyst resource. This resource will:
Provide the data sets
Identify the key areas the information would need to address
Set the parameters for the report
Start date and duration: March 2011 for six months.
