Jed, former Chemistry student, Hull University
Whilst reading Chemistry at Hull University, Jed undertook a Novartis-sponsored, part-time, distance learning programme. This opportunity provided him with hands-on experience at Novartis Grimsby Ltd, alongside his university studies. For his final university project, Jed chose to analyse the pharmacology of one of Novartis’ own medicines to determine whether it could be improved using alternative components. Jed achieved a First-class degree and feels the unique experience of combined working through university studies has given him a stronger focus on his future – Jed aspires to begin a career in Chemical Engineering and to potentially continue his studies in this subject.
