Winner of the UK Prix Galien 2006

Prix Galien MedalThe Novartis treatment for patients with severe, persistent allergic asthma has been awarded a prestigious Prix Galien award for innovative research and development.  Unlike other asthma therapies, the treatment is an antibody that targets one of the underlying causes of the allergic inflammatory cascade that drives the onset of asthma attacks and symptoms.  This internationally recognised award, announced at a ceremony at the House of Commons in September 2006, is recognition of outstanding achievement in research and development by Novartis.
