Novartis has a well-earned reputation for introducing innovative and effective medicines for disease areas in need of new therapies- particularly in oncology, transplantation and ophthalmology.  We are also known for producing new and ever- more efficient medicines for the more common cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, as well as for diseases affecting the brain.

Novartis currently has a total of 75 development projects in the pipeline, of which 70% are in trial phases II or III, or in registration.  90% of these projects offer new modes of action or are treatments meeting unmet clinical needs.
