Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK were honoured to receive a place in Financial Times Top 50 'best workplaces' for the second year running.
Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK achieved the rank of number 40 and is the third highest ranked pharmaceuticals company.
Covering all Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK's legal entity, from the Country Pharmaceuticals Organisation at Frimley to PharmOps and Research and Development at Horsham, the Best Workplaces list is based on an employee survey, and a culture audit of workplace practices and policies.
Globally, Novartis actively takes part in the best workplaces surveys. Our approach is that how people are treated and how comfortable they feel at work adds significantly to the competitive advantages available to the organisation. It also enables us to benchmark our performance and share best practice world wide.
Other Novartis countries also confirmed as Top 50 for 2005 include Germany, Denmark, Italy, France and Spain, who also appear in the Top 100 European companies listing for 2005.
The Novartis Pharmaceutical UK's entry for 2005 read as follow:
'Has excellent ways of sharing knowledge. 'Insight' training raises awareness around four key business areas: Finance, Marketing, Sales and Medical. 'Talk early' sessions allow associates to learn across the business. 'Buzz nights' encourage fun and co-operation. Reward and recognition scheme includes individual awards and ceremonies, and vouchers up the £250 per person, and £1,000 per team. Other benefits include on-site gym (£40 a year membership) at UK head office and health centre'.
